Keyframes Variations
Keyframes for a fan art project. Based on the comic and animated series ‘The Maxx’ by comic artist Sam Kieth. The Outback is a surreal, subconscious dream world or ‘spirit realm’ (Pangaea)
I tried to go for a 3d with 2d painted texture look for these main keyframes, with the background environment becoming more painterly in the distance.
These fan art key frames were created in Blender as a base for the character/creatures and environment layout and then a mix of photo bashing, ai generations and paint overs in Photoshop.
The next step was bringing the keyframes to life using higgsfield ai. It’s far from perfect, and more of a test than finished film shots, but it was fun to use ai to get some movement into these still frames.
I also did a mix of ai style transfer for the variations of the keyframes in higgsfield ai for fun, with some additional photoshop paint overs/photo bash. These are a mixture of styles, photoreal and steam punk/’Arcane’ inspired. Also another animation with higgsfield ai based on the steam punk style keyframe.
